Porsche Museum is set to transform this summer as it hosts the Porsche 4Kids summer holiday program, featuring an exciting collaboration with LEGO® Technic™. This free annual event, scheduled from July 30 to August 18, 2024, offers children a unique blend of tradition and innovation, highlighted by the introduction of the LEGO Technic GT4 e-Performance model. The event promises a mix of educational and fun activities centered around the all-electric racing car.

The long summer holidays provide an excellent opportunity for new experiences, and the Porsche Museum’s summer program has been a staple for delivering unforgettable moments. This year, the collaboration with LEGO brings an added dimension to the activities. Jenny Simchen, responsible for the Porsche 4Kids program, emphasizes that children will immerse themselves in the world of Porsche and LEGO, test the GT4 e-Performance as LEGO racing drivers, and engage actively in various hands-on activities.

Children aged seven and above can explore a variety of stations, focusing on the all-electric GT4 e-Performance prototype and its LEGO replicas. Deniz Keskin, Head of Brand Management and Partnerships at Porsche AG, notes the event as a testament to the ongoing partnership with LEGO, combining cutting-edge technology with interactive experiences, mirroring Porsche’s real-life models.

A highlight of the event includes a fun and informative quiz about both the full-scale and miniature racing cars. Additionally, a large racetrack will be set up for children to test remote-controlled LEGO Technic models, providing an immersive driving experience. The LEGO Play Tables will allow kids to build their own creations, while a photo station lets them pose as LEGO mini-figures. As a special reward, participants receive a unique LEGO brick available exclusively at the Porsche Museum.

To accommodate the anticipated high interest, the museum advises online registration starting three days before the visit, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For those unable to register in advance, a waitlist will be available on-site. The event is designed to evoke childhood memories for adults as well, with the Schwabenstein 2×4 e.V. club constructing unique LEGO models and landscapes that will be displayed throughout the program.

Extended shop hours during the event will provide visitors the opportunity to purchase from the LEGO Porsche product range. Tickets for the special event, priced at 29 euros per person, include parking in the museum’s underground garage and are available online through Porsche Ticketing.

Younger visitors will also have the chance to meet Porsche mascots Tom Targa and Tina Turbo on the weekends of August 3-4 and 10-11, 2024. These mascots will make hourly appearances from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering plenty of photo opportunities and interactive fun. The Porsche Museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Children up to 14 years old receive free admission when accompanied by an adult, making it an ideal family destination this summer.
