MENA Newswire News Desk: Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, announced today an ambitious expansion of its European network. Starting from October 1, 2025, the airline will operate daily flights to Düsseldorf, Germany, and Copenhagen, Denmark, significantly enhancing connectivity between the UAE and these strategic European destinations.

Daily Etihad flights to Düsseldorf and Copenhagen begin October 2025

The increase in service to Düsseldorf represents a substantial boost from the current schedule, adding four additional weekly flights. This expansion will provide passengers with greater flexibility and year-round travel options, strengthening the ties between Abu Dhabi and Germany’s economic hub. Düsseldorf is a major center for international business and trade fairs, and the enhanced flight frequency is expected to support increased business travel and economic collaboration.

Similarly, the Copenhagen route will see an upgrade from four-times-weekly to daily operations, introducing three more flights per week. This enhancement underscores Etihad Airways’ commitment to the Scandinavian market and offers improved connectivity for travelers heading to Denmark’s capital. Copenhagen is renowned for its cultural attractions and sustainable initiatives, and the increased flights will facilitate tourism and cultural exchange.

Etihad Airways’ Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, Arik De, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion. He noted that the move to daily flights for both cities is a pivotal step in the airline’s European growth strategy, reflecting a dedication to offering unparalleled connectivity between Abu Dhabi and prominent European cities. “This enhancement allows us to provide our guests with greater flexibility and improved connection options across our global network,” De stated. “As we continue to grow, we remain committed to delivering exceptional service and hospitality on these routes.”

The airline’s decision comes in response to growing passenger demand and positive market trends. The additional flights are expected to facilitate increased business and leisure travel between the UAE and Europe, supporting tourism, trade, and economic exchange. The enhanced frequencies will also improve connections to other destinations in Etihad’s global network, offering passengers more seamless travel experiences.

Etihad Airways has been steadily expanding its route network and fleet capacity as part of its long-term strategic plan. The introduction of daily flights to Düsseldorf and Copenhagen aligns with the airline’s goal to strengthen its presence in key international markets. The airline has invested in modernizing its fleet and enhancing onboard services to meet the evolving needs of global travelers.

Passengers can begin booking these daily flights immediately, with the new schedules effective from October 1, 2025. The airline encourages travelers to take advantage of the increased frequencies and explore the cultural and commercial opportunities in Düsseldorf and Copenhagen. The expansion is also expected to have a positive impact on the UAE’s aviation industry and economy, supporting Abu Dhabi’s vision to become a global aviation hub and stimulating growth in tourism and related sectors.
