Apple has introduced the highly anticipated 15-inch MacBook Air, touted as the world’s thinnest and best laptop in its class. Boasting an expansive 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display, the powerful M2 chip, exceptional battery life of up to 18 hours, and a cutting-edge six-speaker sound system, this new MacBook Air offers unparalleled performance and portability. With its sleek fanless design, Apple has set a new standard for premium laptops.

Apple redefines laptop excellence with the thinnest 15-inch MacBook Air

The MacBook Air features a spacious, high-resolution 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display, offering users a stunning visual experience. With 500 nits of brightness and support for 1 billion colors, the display delivers rich and vibrant content, along with razor-sharp text. Its resolution is double that of comparable PC laptops, making it stand out in terms of quality and brightness.

Measuring a mere 11.5mm thin and weighing only 3.3 pounds, the new MacBook Air sets a new record as the world’s thinnest 15-inch laptop. Despite its slim profile, it remains solid and durable, making it perfect for on-the-go professionals. The device is nearly 40 percent thinner and half a pound lighter than comparable PC laptops, offering unmatched portability.

Powered by the M2 chip, the 15-inch MacBook Air delivers exceptional performance. It outpaces the fastest Intel-based MacBook Air by up to 12 times, and when compared to the best-selling 15-inch PC laptop with a Core i7 processor, it is twice as fast. The M2 chip enables multitasking and handling complex workloads with ease. Additionally, the device boasts remarkable battery life, offering up to 18 hours of usage, a 50 percent improvement compared to PC laptops.

The MacBook Air is equipped with a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, ensuring high-quality video calls and conferences. The advanced image signal processor on the M2 chip enhances video quality during video calls. The new six-speaker sound system, featuring two tweeters and force-cancelling woofers, provides an immersive audio experience. The support for Dolby Atmos ensures exceptional audio quality for music and movies. The device also offers MagSafe charging, two Thunderbolt ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and compatibility with up to a 6K external display.

The MacBook Air comes with macOS Ventura, which enhances productivity and offers a seamless experience across devices. Apple continues to prioritize sustainability, incorporating environmentally friendly materials such as 100 percent recycled gold, tin, and rare earth elements in the device. The packaging is over 99 percent fiber-based, contributing to Apple’s goal of eliminating plastic from packaging by 2025. Apple is dedicated to reducing its carbon footprint and achieving carbon neutrality across its operations.

The 15-inch MacBook Air with M2 is available for order starting today on Apple’s website and in the Apple Store app. It will be available for customers and in-store purchases from Tuesday, June 13. The device is priced at AED 5,499, while the 13-inch MacBook Air with M2 starts at AED 4,599. Apple Trade-In allows customers to trade in their current devices for credit towards the new MacBook Air.
